Robert Ludlum

     Robert Ludlum was a very prolific author - sometimes two books were written in one year. To get around this, Mr. Ludlum decided to use pen-names; the first was Jonathan Ryder and the second, Michael Shepherd.
I have listed his books as they were published. Those published under the name Jonathan Ryder, are listed in orange; those by Michael Shepherd are in green.
Robert Ludlum also developed the Covert-ONE series along with Gayle Lynds with whom he co-authored the first novel. By the time the second book was published, Mr. Ludlum was dead, but his idea has lived on and grown. The first, third and fourth books in the series were co-written with / written by Gayle Lynds. The second book was written by Philip Shelby and the two latest were written by Patrick Larkin.
     Although Mr. Ludlum died in March of 2001 there have been a number of his books published posthumously; being as he was such a prolific author, it's no surprise that he had quite a few novels already written.

I have seen somewhere that Robert Ludlum writing as Michael Shepherd wrote Sherlock Holmes and the Case of Dr. Freud; now a Michael Shepherd wrote this book in 1985, but whether or not it was Robert Ludlum writing as Michael Shepherd, I have my doubts... anyone know for sure???
