Janet Evanovich
The Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich were recommended to me by one of the ladies that works at the bookstore where I tend to spend a lot of time and money. Of course I didn't start reading the Stephanie Plum books with #1 - I think it was #6; but I was hooked!
Once I found the rest of the books from the series, I looked for more tales by Ms. Evanovich. This led me to the series that she writes with Charlotte Hughes; the Max Holt series. The first book Full House deals with Max Holt more obliquely, but the following books feature him; as usual the sense of humour along with the zany adventures make this another series that I fully enjoy.
