My little girl is a long way from home....
Well, today ~ or maybe yesterday now ~ my daughter Lisa, who is in Egypt and has been for the past week, posted some of her pictures up on Facebook... and Hoo boy!
Intellectually I knew that she was going to be a long, long way from home ~ on the other side of the world ~ a world away ~ but to see the pictures? And I have no real-life reference. As a mother, her mother for just over 22 years to see my "little girl" in a place that I cannot even really comprehend... I'm speechless ~ and choked up ~ and so happy and excited for her.
But I miss her and I pray that she is safe, and stays safe. She's my first little girl ~ although at 5'10", little doesn't really describe her very well. But she's there and getting ready to have the adventures of a lifetime with her best friend, Heather... God bless and keep them both.
